Things to do in Denver with Toddlers
DENVER ZOO
The Denver Zoo is a small zoo, perfect for young children! Enjoy our Denver sunshine as you stroll through the park. It’s well-designed and easy to navigate with a stroller. Your toddler will love the tiger walkway where they can see a tiger lying right above your head. Our favorite exhibits are the elephant, giraffe, and sea lions, but the carousel and face painting are always fun things to do too!
CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER
The Children’s Museum is one of our favorite things to do in Denver, we even bought a membership! If your toddler likes gigantic bubbles, exploring a firetruck, and letting loose in an art studio, they’ll love this museum. You’ll even find a super fun outdoor play area with a running river in the warmer months. Parking is free!
DOWNTOWN AQUARIUM
You’ll find an interactive Stingray Reef touch tank in the Downtown Aquarium, and experience a monsoon while staying dry. Be sure to make a reservation in their undersea restaurant so you can feed those hungry toddlers and maybe even catch the mermaid show! Since the aquarium is next to the children’s museum, some days we come here for lunch after the museum and it’s like a 2-for-1 for our kiddos!
CONFLUENCE PARK
Nearby to the children’s museum and downtown aquarium is this unique park set along the South Platte River. Sit along the banks of the river and watch kayakers go by and take in the views of downtown Denver. If you enjoy being by the river, you might like a family photo session with this backdrop!
