The milestone Experience
You'll feel right at home in the photo studio! The beautifully styled sunroom is the most serene environment you could imagine to cuddle and play with your children. They'll find a toy cart full of blocks, books, wooden shakers, neutral colored stuffies, and more. You'll also find a separate spacious fitting room filled with dresses for mom, outfits for babies and children, and even some shirts for dad. The fitting room contains a changing table with extra necessities, just in case. These rooms are part of my home in Castle Rock, CO, and I am so grateful to share this designated space with you!

Searching for a photographer to capture your family's milestones in Denver? With Photography by Alyssum, you have your choice of one milestone photo session or a series of sessions!
Send me a message so we can start to discuss what's the best fit for you- a single session or the multi-session membership. Memberships ensure we don't miss anything important- from your bump, to your new baby, and even milestones throughout their first year.
1. Say Hello
Once you've decided whether you'll be booking a single session or the multi-session membership, we'll get them on the calendar!
Since nap and meal times are an important concern, you have the choice of start time between 9:30am-1pm. Most sessions take place weekdays, so please plan ahead to take the morning off with your family!
2. BOOK it
Once booked, you'll begin to receive all of my planning materials to make this process as stress-free as possible.
I'll provide a link to view my client closet, and you can send any picks you might want to try. This tool will also help you shop for other items you might like to purchase on your own.
You are always invited you to come into the studio to meet me ahead of time and preview the client closet. If that doesn't work for your schedule, everything will be ready for you to see on the day of your session.
3. Planning it
This is, of course, my favorite part!
When you arrive at the studio, you can make yourselves comfortable in the private fitting room to get dressed for your session. I'll have any pre-selected wardrobe steamed and ready to go in there.
As I go through my workflow, we'll follow your children's lead to capture each child individually, sibling snuggles, parents one-on-one with each child, and of course lots of your family together.
Please feel free to bring snacks and a favorite toy that will make them feel even more at home. Bonus points if it fits the neutral aesthetic!
4. Your Session
After your session, I will gather the best images together in an online proof gallery. You will then select the images that you'd like me to hand edit and include in your fully retouched gallery.
Based on your favorites, you get to select which digital image package is best for you and add on any artwork. Your package is fully customizable, which means you only purchase what you'll treasure!
5. Your Photographs

My sessions always include digital images with every package. You'll also have exclusive, discounted access to my professional print lab. Your family photography will be passed on for generations, no matter how you choose to store and display it.

Our experience with Alyssum was so seamless! She is quick to respond, clear with her communications, and incredibly talented. I also loved the outfit choices she had available for me to choose from to wear for our session (this was an important option for me to have as it just makes life so much easier with a newborn!!) Alyssum was great to work with for our daughter's newborn pictures. We booked months in advance and she was very flexible, had incredible communication, and was transparent through the whole process! The photos and moments Alyssum captures are SO incredibly beautiful! I always feel like it's such chaos during the photos as we have two toddlers but Alyssum always manages to capture so many incredible shots that are truly reflective of this season of our lives. milestone Session
Our sessions with Alyssum are very relaxed, fuss-free and joyful while doing something that could be so much more stressful for mom and dad. In all honesty I dread family photos, but they were a breeze with Alyssum. We have one child diagnosed with autism and she did great at getting those rare shots of eye contact. I was also impressed with her ability to hold her camera and catch our son who jumped right in the water. She is extremely patient and I appreciate her willingness to get on our children’s level.

We have used Alyssum twice now for photos and she does such an amazing job!!! Her work is absolute perfection. She is also very easy going and fun to work with. Our son isn't a fan of strangers or being put in the spotlight and she really was so good and gentle with knowing how to engage him in photos.

newborn Session
Alyssum is an AMAZING photographer. I just moved to the area a couple years ago and we had been flying back to California to have our photos taken with our long time photographer. I’m very picky and finding a good one is hard!! A few of our neighbors had used her and I LOVED her work. She is so talented and captures families so well. So glad we used her and will continue to do so. Already can’t wait for our next session. BUT, when you see her sessions come available you must book ASAP cuz she’ll sell out like that day! If we could give her 10 stars we would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
