This session was an absolute joy! While Trish’s husband was off celebrating fatherhood at his ‘dad-chelor’ party, she chose to mark this special time with a maternity session here in Denver. While dad’s crew toasted to his new adventure, mama embraced her own—rocking her session and celebrating the incredible journey of growing this tiny human. With so much love already surrounding this little one, there’s no doubt they’re off to the best start!

The Maternity Experience
From the moment you step into the maternity studio, you’ll feel right at home. Designed to be warm and inviting, the beautifully styled sunroom feels more like a cozy living space than a traditional studio—bright, intimate, and free from distractions, creating the perfect setting to showcase your bump and your family’s connection.
You'll also have access to a spacious fitting room stocked with elegant maternity gowns, outfits for little ones, and even stylish shirts for dad (because saving time and money is always a win). This dedicated space, nestled in my Castle Rock home, was created with love, and I’m so grateful to share it with you.

1. Say Hello
Once you've chosen between a single maternity session or the multi-session package, we’ll get your session on the calendar!
I typically recommend scheduling maternity photos between 32-36 weeks—when your bump is beautifully rounded, and you’re still comfortable enough to move into flattering, body-accentuating poses. Let’s capture this special season while you’re feeling your best!
2. Schedule it
Once your session is booked, you’ll receive all of my planning materials to make the process smooth and stress-free.
I also invite you to visit the studio before your session for a private fitting in my client closet. This gives you a chance to try on gowns, plan the right undergarments, and feel confident in your choices. Most sessions allow time for 2-3 looks, so you’ll have plenty of variety!
If an in-person fitting doesn’t work with your schedule, no worries! You can browse my client closet online through Style & Select, where you can also shop for additional pieces to complete your look. Either way, I’ll make sure you feel amazing and prepared for your session!
3. Planning it
When session day arrives, take a deep breath and relax—getting everyone out the door is the hardest part, I promise! From here, it’s all easy and fun.
When you arrive, your selected wardrobe will be steamed and ready to go. You’re also welcome to bring any personal pieces you'd love to incorporate!
Your partner and little ones are always welcome to join if that’s part of your vision. We’ll flow through a variety of gorgeous poses—both with them and just for you—so you have a beautiful mix of moments to cherish.
4. Your Session
After your session, I’ll curate the best images into an online proof gallery, where you’ll choose your favorites for me to hand-edit and beautifully retouch.
With a fully customizable package, you only invest in the images you truly love—ensuring you receive a collection that feels just right for you!
5. Your Photographs
My sessions always include digital images with every package. You'll also have exclusive, discounted access to my professional print lab. Your family photography will be passed on for generations, no matter how you choose to store and display it.
Petite sessions start at $800.
Full sessions start at $1300.

Our experience with Alyssum was so seamless! She is quick to respond, clear with her communications, and incredibly talented. I also loved the outfit choices she had available for me to choose from to wear for our session (this was an important option for me to have as it just makes life so much easier with a newborn!!) She was also really sweet and engaging with our toddler which made everything go smoothly during our shoot. We love our photos so much and definitely recommend Alyssum!
newborn session
Alyssum was great to work with for our daughter's newborn pictures. We booked months in advance and she was very flexible, had incredible communication, and was transparent through the whole process! Her client closet was amazing and took the stress off of the whole process. Alyssum was amazing at keeping our daughter comfortable while working quickly. She also was so patient and kind with our new parents, sleep-deprived selves. She was considerate and made sure poses were comfortable for me post-partum. Through crankiness, diaper changes, and kiddo unpredictability, Alyssum is kind, thoughtful, patient, and plays and laughs along with my kids AND somehow manages to capture the most perfect pictures! I will never use another photographer to capture my family photos!!
Family Session
Alyssum is the most incredible photographer I have ever had the privilege to work with. I feel seen in her photos. I never have to worry about an unflattering angle, she guides you through where to look to help avoid those third trimester double chins.
...Not only that, but she has this ability to immediately put you at ease. This is why I have used her for maternity, newborn, mom & me, and family photos. I won’t go anywhere else.
motherhood Session
The photos and moments Alyssum captures are SO incredibly beautiful! I always feel like it's such chaos during the photos as we have two toddlers but Alyssum always manages to capture so many incredible shots that are truly reflective of this season of our lives. Which is exactly the reason we choose Alyssum as our family photographer -- to capture these exact moments!! milestone Session
Our sessions with Alyssum are very relaxed, fuss-free and joyful while doing something that could be so much more stressful for mom and dad. In all honesty I dread family photos, but they were a breeze with Alyssum. We have one child diagnosed with autism and she did great at getting those rare shots of eye contact. I was also impressed with her ability to hold her camera and catch our son who jumped right in the water. She is extremely patient and I appreciate her willingness to get on our children’s level.

We have used Alyssum twice now for photos and she does such an amazing job!!! Her work is absolute perfection. She is also very easy going and fun to work with. Our son isn't a fan of strangers or being put in the spotlight and she really was so good and gentle with knowing how to engage him in photos.

Alyssum is an AMAZING photographer. I just moved to the area a couple years ago and we had been flying back to California to have our photos taken with our long time photographer. I’m very picky and finding a good one is hard!! A few of our neighbors had used her and I LOVED her work. She is so talented and captures families so well. So glad we used her and will continue to do so. Already can’t wait for our next session. BUT, when you see her sessions come available you must book ASAP cuz she’ll sell out like that day! If we could give her 10 stars we would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
