Breckenridge Main Street
No need for a car to explore Breckenridge. Just hop on the free Main Street trolley or walk around by foot. You’ll find tons of locally owned shops and restaurants to keep you busy all day. Mountains surround you in this cute Victorian downtown.
Sapphire Point Overlook
Located just up route 9 in Dillon, you’ll find an easily accessible overlook with amazing views of the Gore and Tenmile mountain ranges. No matter the season, you might even catch a wedding ceremony!
Quandary Peak Trail
If you are up for a challenge, one of the best things to do is 14er hike. Quandary Peak is trail is a 6.6-mile out-and-back trail located just south of Breckenridge near Blue River, Colorado. Committing to hike a 14er is an experience like no other, and one you might be hooked on once you’ve done it. Once you get past the tree line, expect to walk a straight line up hill. You’ll be breathless, for sure!
Minnie Mine Loop
If a 14er isn’t quite your speed but you want to get in some hiking and history at the same time, try this easy 1.5-mile loop Minnie Mine trail. You’ll walk past historic mines and the remains of an old gold dredge.

If your family is looking for something to do in Breckenridge in the summer, you’ll love taking the free BreckConnect Gondola up to the ski resort. Buy the Epic Discovery pass to access the coaster, alpine slide, mini golf, bungee trampolines, and lots more. It’s sometimes best to go earlier in the day to avoid afternoon thunderstorms that roll through during the summer.
